Here is an itinerary that takes in Rome and Florence plus the best of Tuscany.

1st Day

Arrival at Rome airport, meeting with your private driver and your tour escort.

Transfer to your hotel in Rome; check in and welcome dinner.

2nd Day

Breakfast and guided walking tour of Rome city center (Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Navona square, Trinità dei Monti).

Lunch at leisure and free time in Rome.

8,30 p.m. Arrival at the Opera House “Caracalla baths” to see an opera performance (Caracalla theatre will
be reached by private bus).

Transfer back to your hotel and overnight.

3rd Day

Breakfast and departure with your private bus and your tour escort towards the Vatican Museums.

Meeting with your guide and visit of the Vatican Museums.

The Vatican Museums contain masterpieces of painting, sculpture and other works of art collected by the
popes through the centuries. The Museums include several monumental works of art, such as the Sistine
Chapel, the Chapel of Beato Angelico, the Raphael Rooms, Loggia and the Borgia Apartment. This Christian,
Profane and Missionary-Ethnological Museum contains a collection of artistic and archaeological objects,
some of an ethnological nature, that were once housed in the Lateran Palace.

Lunch at leisure.

Trasfer by private bus to the Colosseum and the Imperial Forum to start a guided tour in the history of Imperial Rome.

Transfer back to your hotel and overnight.

4th Day

Transfer towards Tuscany, Chianciano terme.

Stop in Viterbo to visit this wonderful village.

The town has ancient origins, as you can well understand by the name (Viterbo derives from the Latin Vetus
Urbs, “the Old City”), and has a big medieval thermal center). Viterbo is historically known as the City of
Popes. In the thirteenth century it was in fact venue of the papacy hosting the Papal Palace.

Lunch at leisure.

Arrival in Chianciano; check in at your hotel and dinner.

If clients wish, it is possible to visit Chianciano’s parks to listen to nice pop music concerts.

5th Day

Breakfast and departure towards Cortona.

9,30 Arrival in Cortona, walking tour of this wonderful village and transfer to Castiglione del Lago and light
lunch in a restaurant with an amazing view on the lake.

6th Day

Breakfast and departure by private bus, with your tour escort towards the beautiful Val d’Orcia.
The Val d’Orcia is an exceptional example of landscape design and aesthetics in the Renaissance.
It witnesses the Italian atmosphere in the period of the Municipalities, celebrated by the main
senese painters. Val d’Orcia was inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2004.

Arrival in Pienza.

Much of the town’s architecture was built under Pope Pius II between 1459 and 1462. The Pope called
Bernardo Rossellino (one of the most famous architects of the time) to work in the village. Pienza became
an exceptional example of fifteenth-century architecture and urbanism. Its center is the famous magic
trapezoid square where you will find the Cathedral, the Corso Rossellino, Piccolomini Palace and Palazzo
Borgia. The cathedral is a wonderful example of Renaissance building.

Pienza is visited every year by an impressive number of people.
Light lunch in a dairy of the area: we will have the chance to know a typical product: “pecorino cheese”.
We will have an interesting visit of the farm, and the chance to make cheese together with the dairyman.
Transfer towards Bagno Vignoni.
This village was known since Roman times for its healing waters. These springs arise at a temperature of
over 50°C and are retrieved in the “deep basin”, placed at the center of the village, giving it a striking

In the surrounding areas the tiny village boasts many pools of thermal water in which you can freely swim.
The tanks are totally natural and not man-made.

5,30 p.m. Arrival in Montepulciano to see a musical performance.

9,00 p.m. Transfer back to Chianciano, dinner at leisure and overnight.

7th Day

Transfer to Rome airport with your private bus and Tour Escort.
